In the principle of “putting safety first, focusing on prevention, and managing safety with a holistic approach”, the company has been scaling up investment to ensure workplace safety and has introduced DuPont’s safety management system. It has harnessed information and intelligent tools to improve intrinsic safety in equipment and processes, and deeply integrated safety standards and the dual prevention mechanism, in order to achieve inspections across all processes, full-process control of specific hazardous aspects, fire and explosion emergency response mechanism, and comprehensive monitoring of important production line equipment. The ultimate purpose is to create a sound closed-loop operational mechanism for safety management.
Environmental Protection
EFIRM has always seen environmental friendliness as a lifeline for its business and does its best to protect the environment. It has established the world’s first eco-friendly industry chain of “hydrogen sulfide - organic sulfur chemicals - new optical materials”, and achieved an annual reduction of more than 35,000 tons in sulfur dioxide emissions. It has acted on ESG ideas and the philosophy of high-quality development, increased investment in environmental protection, upheld the principle of addressing the root causes, developed green production processes, and practiced energy conservation, emission reduction, and recycling to support China’s green development strategy.
Occupational Health
EFIRM puts people first and cares for the health of its employees. It has put in place an occupational safety and health management system, which has been certified. The company has always given priority to the safety and health of its employees, made growing investment in occupational health, regularly organized health check-ups and activities, and sought to research and apply ergonomics. It has also adopted new technologies, processes, and equipment to manage occupational health for all the employees.
